The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the party access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Schemers tables.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
